Hornets Stop Patriots 39-0

It was all Hazen Friday night against visiting Palestine-Wheatley.

The Hornets used their quickness to run past the Patriots 39-0 in a 6AA Conference game that ended under the mercy rule.

Hazen scored with 8:33 left in the opening quarter, needing only seven plays to take the 6-0 lead.

They made it 12-0 with 3:07 to play in the first quarter on a three-yard touchdown run by Marcus Smith and led 12-0.

Hazen added three more touchdowns in the second quarter to push their lead to 33-0 at the half

P-W was held to just 14 total yards in the first half.

The Patriots, 0-5, 0-1, will host Des Arc this Friday at Patriot Field.
